Women's Shoes - Interesting Colors

Within the realm of women's shoes, we don't just have a wide variety of styles to choose from but also every color in the palette. While choices are always a good thing, this can make things difficult sometimes. If you're looking for something safe, there's always the perennial favorite, black. Likewise, neutral colors do very well especially if you're looking for a color that doesn't stand out too much. Otherwise, there are a number of unique colors that aren't really used all that much in this day and age.

This may be because the person lacks the know-how to match these colors correctly. But they are missing out on a opportunity to provided added depth to their wardrobe by avoiding lesser known colors. After all, the key to a successful wardrobe is in having a balanced color palette that allows you to tackle any occasion be it formal or casual. Here are a few interesting colors that you want to consider in the future.

Silver

Silver is actually quite a popular color as far as metallic colors go. It usually outsells gold and bronze quite handily and has its place in many formal events in the modern era. As such, they are a very common color to use for events like weddings, prom nights and formal dinners. When it comes to wedding sandals and shoes, it is arguably the most sought after color for these events. They are actually quite versatile depending on the shade you select. The lightest silvers are always the easiest to match and are the most popular as well. For those looking for something a little more true to the name, there are shades that resemble plain silver. These shades are sometimes called pewter and can sometimes be difficult to match if you don't know what you're doing.

Gold

Gold has long been linked with wealth both as a substance as well as a color. It lends a royal touch to the outfit and is one of the more extravagant colors available out there. Like its silver cousin, it is primarily used for formal functions (weddings, proms etc) and doesn't see much use outside of it. Some women simply think the color is a bit too extravagant for casual wear. This is true if you go for solid gold shades. Fortunately, gold is usually offered in many shades. The lightest, almost yellow shades are the most demure of them all. They are not too bright as to overwhelm the outfit and are easy enough to match for almost any occasion.

Tan

Tan is a very earthy color that is somewhat popular particularly for men. The various shades of tan are some of the most common colors used for men's outdoor footwear. Having said that, it is still well represented in the arena of women's shoes although it may not always be the most popular. Many women shun earthy colors as it sometimes comes off as dirty. This is because tan is actually a mix between brown and yellow, not the most alluring of color combinations on the market. While not exactly the best color for heels, they do alright for boots and similar footwear.
